Swearing-in Ceremony of the newly elected Executive Council (2018-20) of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) got held at the Gulnaksha Auditorium of International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) yesterday, April 8, 2018.

Honorable Post, Telecommunication and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present in the program as chief guest, whereas ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak was the special guest.

At the beginning of the ceremony, newly elected BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir delivered the welcome speech. Then, the honorable guests handed over the crests to the departing Executive Council, BASIS Election Board and Appeal Board for their contribution. Besides, the former BASIS President and Chairman of the Election Board Mr. S M Kamal administered the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected Executive Council.

As BASIS President for the term 2016-18 honorable Minister Mustafa Jabbar handed over the BASIS flag to the newly elected president Syed Almas Kabir. Besides, the newly elected Executive Council was welcomed officially.

Honorable Minister Mustafa Jabbar and ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak also delivered their precious speeches in the program.

Finally, the departing BASIS Director Mostafizur Rahman Sohel showed gratitude to all on behalf of the outgoing Executive Council. Newly elected BASIS Senior Vice President Farhana A Rahman, Vice President (Administration) Shoeb Ahed Masud, Vice President (Finance) Mushfiqur Rahman, Director Tamjid Siddiq Spondon, Didarul Alam, Luna Shamsuddoha and Mustafa Rafiqul Islam were also present in the program. On the other hand, from the departing Executive Council, Rasel T Ahmed, M Rashidul Hassan, Uttam Kumar Pal, Sonia Bashir Kabir and Delowar Hossain Faruq attended the ceremony.

It is to be noted that the election of BASIS Executive Council for the term 2018-20 was held on last March 31, 2018.
