BASIS leaders visited Tungipara and paid tribute on behalf of the members of BASIS at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Organized by The Advisory Standing Committee, the visit took place on 5th of August and was attended by members of EC, Advisory Standing Committee and Secretariat.
The delegation placed floral wreath led by the BASIS President Russell T Ahmed and offered special prayer at the mausoleum seeking divine blessings for Bangabandhu and members of his family. BASIS President signed the Mourning Book. The team also took a tour around the entire complex that included visiting Bangabandhu's ancestral home and the museum. The curator of the museum accompanied the team and took them to places explaining the history and significance of several events from our past.
Mr. Abu Daud Khan, Vice President (Admin), Mr. Fahim Ahmed, Vice President (Finance), Mr. AKM Ahmedul Islam Babu, Director, Mr. M Rashidul Hasan, Chairman, Advisory Standing Committee, a number of members of the Advisory Committee and officials of BASIS Secretariat including Mr. Abu Issa Mohammad Mainuddin, Executive Director were present in the day-long program.
