Different ICT based seminars, Multimedia Animation, Graphics Design, Programming Contest and IT Olympiad were organized on the second day of country’s first and biggest three day long ‘Daffodil ICT Carnival 2018’ held at the permanent campus of Daffodil International University (DIU) in Asulia, Dhaka. Country’s prominent ICT expert and Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad from The department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) inaugurated the contests in the event. During the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the University Trustee Board Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yusuf M Islam, CEO of Daffodil Family and Convener of the Carnival Mohammad Nuruzzaman and Head of CSE Department, DIU Professor Syed Akter Hossain along with other senior officials were present.   

In the inauguration ceremony, prominent ICT expert Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad said- Considering the intelligence, Bangladesh always remains ahead and in the past years Jagdish Chandra Bose, Satyen Bose, Meghnad Saha too showed their talents and merits. Currently, students of our country have also been showing their talents and merits till now working in world famous organizations globally.

The three day long carnival was put to an end through a closing and award distribution ceremony today, February 13, 2018. Rewards worth of taka 10 lakh were given to the contestants for best project and performances.
