Nokia and Oracle have expressed interest in establishing a joint partnership with Bangladesh to keep cyber security unbroken. At the same time, Rubaba Daula, Country Managing Director of Oracle Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan Region, and Arif Islam, Country Head of Nokia Solutions and Networks Bangladesh proposed to establish a strategic partnership with the ICT Division to strengthen joint efforts to address emerging risks with the latest solutions in telecommunication and computer technology in Bangladesh.

A proposal was made to meet the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak in his office at the ICT Tower of Agargaon on Tuesday, 5 September.

Rafiqul Islam, Account Manager of Nokia Solutions and Networks Bangladesh of the ICT Division was present at that time. ICT Summit 2023-Participation in the meeting showed the positive attitude of Nokia. Also discussed about the progress, challenges, obstacles, and plans for the next steps to be the charioteer of Smart Bangladesh. Nokia has demonstrated low-cost 4th and 5th-generation network coverage through public internet in remote areas under the Island, Bill, and Haor project.
