Executive Council (EC) Election Candidates introduction meeting of Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) was held on March 24, 2018 at 3 pm. 31 candidates presented their election manifesto in front of the BASIS members.

Among the 5 independent candidates, 4 were present. They are A.S.M. Jamal Uddin Chairman of Infinity Technology International Limited (BASIS General Member),Md. Mahabub Hasan, Proprietor of Max IT (BASIS General Member), Md. Enamul Haque Sujon, Managing Director of STM Vision Infotech Limited (BASIS General Member)and A.K.M Fahim Mashroor, Director of Ajker Deal.com Limited (Associate Member of BASIS). Independent Candidate Md. Shahjalal, Managing Director of Eight Pears Solutions Limited (Associate Member of BASIS) was not present at the meeting.

Candidates from 3 (three) panels were also present. Mustafa Rafiqul Islam, Managing Director of Flora Telecom Limited was present along with his panel ‘Team Durjoy’. 'Wind of Change' Panel led by Luna Shamsuddoha, Founder and Chairman of Dohatech New Media was also present. BASIS EC Election Board moderated the meeting. It is to be noted that BASIS EC Election (2018-2020) will take place from 10:00 AM- 5:00 PM on 31 March, 2018 at BASIS.
