Aiming to reducing users’ addiction to smartphone usage, this initiative has been taken. Even, to introduce a new feature named ‘Usage Insights’, this image and video sharing app is driving an experiment too. The feature will keep counting once getting access to Instagram.

A message showing how much time users have spent in Instagram will be sent during logging off the account. Apart from this, time can also be specified through this feature before using Instagram. As a result, the app will keep sending alarming message once the specified time for the users is passed by. Even if it is not logged off, Instagram will keep sending rebuking messages. If everything goes okay, the feature is going to be introduced very soon for the Android device users.
