Due to availing service from Banglaphone, the company without Network Operations License, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTTRC) fined the mobile operator Robi taka 50 crore. As per an official letter issued to country’s one of the leading mobile phone operators Robi on September 11, they have been given order to clear the fined-amount in ten working days. Otherwise, legal actions will be taken against them, as the concern BTRC officials informed.

BTRC fined Robi for the same issue in last July too. The commission even issued them a letter to pay fine. But, later, no one from the operator communicated with BTRC, as the commission mentioned in their last issued letter. Therefore, due to receiving no reply from Robi in this regard, BTRC took such strict initiative.
