Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) officially canceled the license of country’s one of the leading internet service providers. Due to not renewing the license, Bangla Phone got their ISP license canceled.

Bangla Phone received the license cancellation letter on September 18 issued by BTRC. Bangla Phone has lost their ISP license after 14 years of service. Simultaneously, BTRC also gave order the concern department to take some effective initiatives so that Bangla Phone can’t run such internet business anymore.  

Earlier, Bangla Phone ran their network service related business for at least 5 years having only the ‘Permit’. But, later in 2015, they also lost the business. During that time, BTRC asked all not to avail any service from them.
