Number of Electronic Tax Identification Number (e-TIN) holders in the country has exceeded 32 lakh. As per statistics provided by National Board of Revenue (NBR), till last November 26, total 32 lakh and 281 e-TIN Holders currently exist in the country.

e-TIN holders have been almost doubled in last two years. Basically, last year, holding TIN has been made mandatory for all the private service holders and just after that number of e-TIN holders is rapidly increasing. Submission of Income Tax Return also has been made compulsory for the private service holders from current fiscal year.
