Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained eight people for spreading rumor on social media over Sunday’s national election.
They were detained during drives conducted in Maghbazar and Mowchak areas in city on Friday night (December 28).
Details will be given at a press conference later, said ASP Mizanur Rahman, Senior Assistant Director of RAB’s legal and Media Wing.
The 11th national election is slated for December 30.
